We created a special place for remembering our 2 recent pet losses. These engraved stones were exactly what we wanted! Actually each is larger than expected so the cost was very reasonable. The engraving was perfect. And delivery was prompt.

Real Pet Stones did a wonderful job on the engraving on the stone. They chose a beautiful medium size river rock that is a perfect size. Not too small and not too big. When wet you can see a really pretty white vein running across the stone. We are very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend them.

I waited several days before I opened my memorial stone delivery. I was still pretty sad about the events and wanted time to sit with it all. When I removed the stone from the box, I was so taken back by the quality and how interesting the stone was itself. The stone pulled a grey, white and a light pink hue and was such a perfect, unexpected snd welcomed surprise. This stone was a respectful tribute to Jessie, my pet of almost 15 years. The craftsmanship was remarkable.
I always buy a stone when my pets pass, but I wanted a big special stone for my African Grey parrot. I ordered a large and it weights 20 lbs! It is awesome and we love it! She was a special family member and this memorial stone is worthy of her memorial space. Cannot wait until the violets fill in around it.

Sandblast Engraving Specialists
REAL Petstones are engraved by sandblasting. Much like an accelerated instance of natural erosion, sandblasting carves stone using sand & abrasive elements powered by highly compressed air.
The result is a deep engraving that can't be mimicked by laser etchers & cheap, synthetic materials.

What makes a real pet stone different?
Many "rocks" that you see advertised online aren't rocks at all. They are synthetic resins that can be easily laser etched. To us, they are more of a dog toy than dignified memorial.
Real pet stones are all natural river rocks, sourced from America. Real rocks can't be laser etched. Instead, each rock is designed and sandblasted by a Realpetstone.com craftsperson.
When will I receive my stone?
We aim to engrave and ship Realpetstone.com orders within 10 business days of order submission. In most cases it will be faster.
Transit time after shipment might be 2-3 days depending on your distance from our workshop.
What is the return policy?
These are custom, handcrafted products that cannot be returned. All sales are final. If there is an error in the engraving or problem with the stone, please send us a picture. We will rush produce and ship a replacement free of charge.
Can I submit custom engravings not available on the website?
Sure! Please send a message through the general contact form with what you're looking for. If it's easily enough understood we should be able to provide a custom quote. If not, we'll just need to jump on a quick phone call.
Can I choose my stone?
Realpetstones are selected and engraved at random. Natural stones come in a variety of shapes and colors. Color ranges include grey, red, blue, purple, brown, tan, and more.
If you would like a specific shape and/or color, please contact us through the general inquiry form. We will provide you with a custom quote.
Can I send you my own stone?
Not every type of stone can be sandblasted. It must have a smooth enough surface to accept an engraving stencil. If you want to send us a picture of your stone we can take a shot at confirming "engravability".
Customer supplied rocks are custom quoted. There are no cost savings and it will likely be more expensive than using a stone that we supply.
